American wedding, portrait & travel photographer, Emmarie Jackson showcases Wedding Dreams of Something Blue.
We've all heard about having "something borrowed, and something blue" at weddings. Blue is definitely a classic and timeless color that would elevate any wedding to give grand elegance and style. And if combined with white, it can give a perfectly royal feel.
We are back here at Chateau Cocomar in Houston, TX. And we start here with the bride and groom. Our beautiful bride is dressed in a classic white cap sleeved dress with a cape, while her dashing groom has on a navy blue ensemble with a white tie. Most of the floral arrangements consist of white roses, since blue roses are hard to come by. The blue flowers are accents of violets and hydrangeas, and the rest of the blue theme in this wedding inspiration come in the form of stationery, bridal accessories and the table setting.
The stationery is classic blue, navy and periwinkle with a hint of violet. And the table setting has a blue floral table spread with a tall white rose centerpiece with blue accent flowers. The cake is a simple three tiered buttercream cake painted with the same blue floral pattern as the table spread. And to the right of the cake was a nice drink station serving the couple's signature cocktail of "The Little Trailboss".
I have to admit, I love a deep royal blue theme. Something about it just gives a regal, timeless, classic and elegant look.
